Green Olive at Red Hill
Driving in to Green Olive at Red Hill, you pass first through the olive grove and then the vineyards. When you arrive at the shop and café, you can indulge in great food and wine produced right there on the farm. On their incredibly picturesque property on the Mornington Peninsula, Greg and Sue O’Donoghue have created a sustainable farm and a true local experience.
We visit Green Olive on our Ultimate Mornington Peninsula tour and our Mornington Peninsula Hot Springs tour. You get to enjoy a delicious tapas lunch and a wine tasting, plus you can take a look around the farm and you’ll probably meet the friendly dogs.
Green Olive at Red Hill was opened to the public in 2010. With an emphasis on sustainability Greg and Sue have tried to create a 100% edible landscape. This includes the vineyard, olive grove, lemon trees and fig trees. You not only get to taste this produce, but you can take some home as a souvenir. In their shop you’ll find olive oil and their own range of olive-based body products. As well as a delicious array of wines produced with grapes grown on their property and some sourced from local areas.
For many guests this is a highlight of our Mornington Peninsula tours. Green Olive at Red Hill gives you the chance to taste fresh local produce, experience life on the farm and meet some friendly locals from the peninsula.
